Last Saturday, we held a spirited and spectacular Family Halloween Party at the library. If you were able to make it, we’re so glad you were able to join us, and if you weren’t able to make it, here’s a quick recap of how it unfolded, full of fun (not frightening) pictures!
Everyone who braved this sweet and spooky event received a goody bag with some treats! There were several tables set up with crafts such as coloring, bracelet-making, pumpkin painting, and candle-making. We quickly ran out of mini pumpkins to paint, so we brought out some mini canvases for those who came a little later. The candle-making was also very popular, and Natalia was brewing up a storm over her cauldron, filling the room with lovely scents.

On the other side of the room were some games, such as Halloween Plinko, Feel Factor, and a Candy Corn ring toss, as well as a table for temporary tattoos.

Brittany was also available for photographs in front of the cobwebbed backdrop. Throughout the party, we got to see guest appearances from the likes of Olaf, Bluey, Naruto, Sally, Iron Patriot, Ramona Flowers, and more! Take a look at some of these awesome costumes:

Our friends and Portage Parks volunteers Todd and Ann Cartner were also set up in the Carlin Room next door to talk about all things bats! They had some bat books, displays, and even a drawing for whomever could guess how many pompoms were in their jar, each pompom representing the amount of bugs a bat eats in a single hour! Near the end of the party, Todd wowed us with his bat fingers and announced the winner.

It was a wonderful time and we are thankful for everyone who was able to celebrate with us! Happy Halloween!
