Summer’s comin’ ’round the bend, and we’re kickin’ it off proper with Rodeo Night at Ravenna City Park next Friday, June 7th. Gather up your folks and mosey on down to our free, family-friendly shindig, fit for buckaroos of all ages. It’s our 3rd annual hoedown, and we reckon it’s gonna be the best one yet!

Mosey over to the Barnyard Petting Zoo, try your hand at crafting, and watch the square dance pros strut their stuff. You can even give that do-si-do or line dance a whirl yourself. For the little cowpokes, there’s gem mining to be done and young prospectors can mine giant sand piles for treasure, too. We’ll have hayrides to enjoy and plenty of group snapshots can be had at our photo corral.

Young’uns up to age 17 can cool off with a free snow cone (while supplies last), and if your belly starts growlin’, we’ve got food trucks serving up the tastiest vittles this side of the Mississippi.

While you’re ropin’ up fun, don’t forget to lasso our Readin’ Rodeo Challenge! It’s two months packed with reading and activities, with prizes up for grabs just for joining in. When you sign up, kiddos wrangle up vouchers for the Ohio State Fair and grown-ups rustle up $10 off vouchers for Ohio State Parks.

So hitch up your wagon and head on over to Ravenna City Park from 5pm to 8pm, next Friday, June 7th. Get ready for a rootin’ tootin’ good time!
