It’s that time of year again. Thanksgiving is coming and the very next day we kick off the holiday season during Ravenna’s Midnight Madness event. It’s an evening you don’t want to miss.
On Friday, November 29, we’ll shut down regular library services at 4:30pm to switch into holiday mode. Then we’ll reopen at 5pm to kick off the holiday celebration during Midnight Madness. You can sip a free cup of hot cocoa while you look at the decorated gingerbread houses. Make sure to vote for your favorite! Wear your best holiday outfit and get a free photo by one of the decorated, historic fireplaces.
Santa Claus will be here all night to share storytimes and take photos with your littles. Outside, we’ll have live reindeer for the evening. Stop by to see and learn about these special animals.
Midnight Madness is one of Ravenna’s longest-running annual events. Stores are open late. The city’s tree lighting takes place on the court house lawn and you can watch the holiday parade. Carriage rides, crafts, carolers, food trucks, and more are planned along with downtown holiday shopping. The library is excited to be part of the evening for our third year.
Make plans now to be in Ravenna for Midnight Madness. The library will be in full holiday mode and we look forward to seeing you!
