You can only influence your future if you vote. And you can only vote if you’re registered. We make it easy but you need to register in the next 11 days, before the April 6, 2026 deadline.
May 5, 2026 is Ohio’s primary election. You can directly impact your local government, funding for your government and local services, and who might get to represent you in Columbus and Washington D.C. for the next few years. Your vote will influence a lot of decisions. Are you registered to vote? Is your registration updated? If you aren’t sure, it’s a very simple thing to do and we can help you meet the April 6th deadline.
Stop in the library anytime we’re open and fill out your voter registration paperwork. We’ll send it on to the board of elections on your behalf. It’s that simple and it probably takes 5 minutes, tops. We’ll even give you a pen.
What information do you need?
- An Ohio driver’s license or state ID number
- Your name
- Your date of birth
- Current address
- The last four digits of your Social Security Number
If you’ve recently moved, you can also update your registration at the library. Same simple process, same information needed.
You can register and update online
Just as simple as visiting the library is using the State of Ohio’s secure online system to register, check your status, update your details, and submit changes. Your voice and your vote matter. Don’t lose an opportunity to vote because you didn’t fill out a simple form—get your registration completed and updated by April 6th.
See what’s on your ballot
If you’ve read all this and you’re still not convinced it’s worth the effort, take a look at your ballot for the May 6th election. You might be surprised at the issues and people on it. It’s a privilege to have a voice—don’t you want to use it?
