Winter is swiftly approaching, and we want to ensure members of our community have the means to stay warm and healthy this season. If you’re interested in helping those in need, come donate to our Giving Tree!
This season, we are collecting new or lightly used hats, mittens, and scarves, which will be donated to Ravenna’s Center of Hope and The Haven of Portage County.
Every year at the beginning of November, we organize a mitten drive for the duration of the month. However, this year, we are doing it a little differently: our Giving Tree will stay up through February. This way, we can continue to give and continue to meet the community’s needs all winter long.

If you would like to donate, please bring your items to the Public Services desk. They will give you a paper acorn or leaf to write your name upon and hang on the Giving Tree as a thanks for your generosity. Donations will be taken periodically throughout the upcoming months to Center of Hope where they will be shared with The Haven.
“Both staff and patrons are happy to contribute to The Giving Tree and help out our community,” comments Adult Services Supervisor Darlene.
We wish you all a warm winter full of wellness!
